How do we stay Human in a world that is moving so fast?

The world is changing.
Rapidly. Constantly. Almost relentlessly.

There is more AI, more information, more noise. And at the same time, more to-do lists, more pressure, more overwhelm.

I wrote about this feeling a few weeks ago, that quiet but persistent sense of too much.
Too much to hold, too much to process, too much to keep up with.

So the question becomes…

How do we, as women, not only manage or cope but actually thrive in a world like this?

When I sit with this, the answer feels very clear.

Women need women.

We are not designed to do life alone, we are not designed to constantly push, strive, and perform. That energy, the constant doing, achieving, ticking off lists is driven by dopamine.
And while it has its place, it is not the rhythm our bodies are meant to live in all the time.

Because as women, we are deeply connected to something else.

Oxytocin.

The hormone of love, of connection, of bonding.

It is the same hormone that drives labour, that opens our bodies that allows expansion.

It connects us to our partners, it binds us to our babies, it softens us. Grounds us. Regulates us.

And the truth is, when we live in a constant state of doing, rushing, achieving we deplete our oxytocin.

So how do we restore it?

We come back to what nourishes us, we create moments, small, simple, intentional that bring us back into connection. And one of the most powerful ways we do that…

is through other women.

For the past three years, I have been holding women’s circles, and what I witness, again and again, is something truly profound. Women arrive carrying so much. Life. Emotions. Questions. Quiet struggles. And then something shifts.

They are seen, they are heard, they are witnessed, they are held.

Not fixed, not judged, not rushed. Just… held.

And afterwards? There is a softness, a lightness, a sense of “I can do this.” Because they remember…

I am not alone.

And I believe this is one of the greatest challenges of the world we are living in. As everything becomes more digital, more automated, more AI-driven…We risk becoming more isolated.

More disconnected from each other, and from ourselves.

So my invitation to you is this:

Come back.

Back to yourself, back to connection, back to what is real, what can be felt.

Join a women’s circle, in person if you can.
(And if you can’t, I will be offering an online space too, especially for those living far from me.)

Because even online, there is still power in being together.

And in your everyday life, begin with small, simple practices that cost nothing and ask nothing of technology.

Step outside. Even for 5–10 minutes, without your phone, listen to the birds, look at a tree or notice a plant.

Remember…you are nature.

Breathe.
Deeply. Slowly. Intentionally. Let the breath move through your body. let it soften you.

Ground yourself.
Come out of your head and back into your body. Place your feet on the earth, barefoot, if you can. Feel the support beneath you, feel the steadiness of the ground that holds you.

And perhaps most importantly…

Slow down.

Start with your mornings, intentionally create space, even just a few minutes. And let that ripple gently into your day.

Because thriving in this world isn’t about doing more.

It’s about remembering who you are. A woman, a body, a nervous system that needs softness, connection, and care. And a heart that was never meant to do this alone.
