Yesterday I drew one of my little angel cards, something I do every morning. I shared it on Instagram Stories, as I often do. To inspire. To connect. To remind myself to come back to myself, and sometimes to offer a gentle focus for the day ahead.
I’ve done this for the longest time, and it was interesting that on Sunday the card I chose was Simplicity. It reminded me of a question I often come back to when life feels full or overwhelming. It’s one I hold close, and today I want to share it with you.
There are so many things constantly pulling us in different directions, what’s for dinner, our children’s schedules, work demands, family needs… all the roles we carry, all the balls we juggle.
When I feel like it’s all too much, I pause. I take a breath. And I ask myself:
“What is the simplest way?”
Sometimes, the question shifts slightly:
“What is the easiest way?”
We tend to overcomplicate things. We make tasks or decisions heavier than they need to be. But these simple questions can be like a reset button. What is the simplest way for me to move forward here? What’s the easiest path through this moment, this challenge, this situation?
I invite you to sit with those questions this week. Write them down. Stick them to your mirror or fridge as a loving reminder. Then gently notice what your intuition whispers, or what shows up around you. You might be surprised by what makes itself known when you let things be easy.
Often, I find it’s my own thoughts or feelings getting in my way. Maybe you’ll notice that too.
Wishing you a beautiful, ease-filled week ahead.
With simplicity,
Theoni
