Welcome to my new website!
Launched a few weeks ago, and even though I have been super busy with my own studies and facilitating courses, I wanted to do a little intro on the ‘why’ behind the change.
The rebrand comes after a journey of stepping into myself more.
There have been many changes in my life, the passing of my father and a life changing trip with nine of my Kahuna Ohana (family) to Hawaii (which I will do a post separately on as it is so rich and filled with magic). When you have a significant life changing experience, the death of someone close to you, a break up, a life altering pilgrimage, it is simply not possible to be the same person, you are forever changed. Hence the Theoni Papoutsis website.
I am passionate about empowering women and their families in many ways, from guiding women to become pregnant, preparation during pregnancy, to be equipped for whichever birth unfolds. Supporting new families as they navigate the early weeks and months with a new little person is what I love. I feel privileged and blessed to get to know these little babies as they grow inside their mothers and get to hold them afterwards as they become more and more embodied.
Over the last few years I have been integrating my NLP practitioners and masters courses (2 years), into my practice and into my Confident Hypnobirthing antenatal course, which is thereby evolving each time I teach it. More recently I completed a 2-year Biodynamic Craniosacral therapy course with distinction last year and a Craniosacral Post-grad course with Simon Gosling from New Zealand this year. I feel like the Craniosacral therapy has completed what I am able to offer my clients.
With my many different roles / qualifications / services it was difficult to find a word or phrase that encompasses all. I just love what I have settled on, don’t you? Birthkeeper
Birthkeeper is a term coined by Jeannine Parvati Baker, marrying the terms EarthKeeper (eco-activist and holders of the sacred Earth-based wisdom) and BirthWorker (doula, midwife, antenatal teacher etc), thus meaning a birth activist and keeper of the sacred wisdom of birth.)
I am passionate about the earth, this planet and how we can each make a difference it creates a better future so I am excited that this new ‘label’ encompasses that too. I know it sounds cliché but it is true, one person can make a difference.
You can find a full list of all my services, with more info, here and if you are not already on my mailing list, sign up for that here.
